Newbie from Chicago, IL

Hello

My name is Dhru Das and I am from Chicago. I have heard lot of good things about this website and so here I am. I have attended a webinar yesterday and really loved it. I am committed and learning a lot everyday by reading forums, checking out listings etc. I know I should have started my real estate business from before. Oh well, it's never too late!

This year I plan to purchase 2-3 rental properties and grow the number up to 10 in next 3-4 years. If I get chance for flipping/wholesaling I am up for it. But I have  lot to learn so I am just starting with rentals and then go from there. I am here to network with some of the best guys out there in real estate and hope to learn from them as I read their comments/forums. I am committed to spend as much time as I can when I am not doing my normal 8-5 job. In the process I am hoping to help other people in future with their goals as well.

@Dhru Das Oh nice i'm in portage park, we should try met up one day for coffee it would be nice to meet others that are close by and like minded. 

There is also a chicago meetup on 7004 w higgins on every third tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. There is a special event on February 2nd at the same location at 6:30pm the guest speaker is Engelo Rumora he is a turn key investor. Not sure if you would want to go the turn key route but the networking that the meeting will provide will be useful an could possibly help you find the type of people you are looking to work with.
