Hallo,

I am a property investor in South Africa and own a few properties for the some time now. My focus is on Buy to Rent. I have done since 1996 (Locally Only - South Africa). After doing this solo for some time I partnered with some friends and work colleges. After buying some more properties, we ended up forming a business trust and bought some more properties.

Due to the declining rand value towards the $ US, I decided it was time to look offshore for investments and since property has treated me well over the years this seems to be the next logical step.

My goal is to get the funds ready to purchase my 1st US property within the next 12 to 18 months - Probably a Condo - but probably to early to say for sure.

Although I consider myself "informed" regarding the local market I know absolutely ZERO when it comes to offshore / international / USA property investments. So here I am, starting with the new cycle of education and learning.

Regards,
