New Real Estate Investor

I am a new real estate investor originally from Michigan heading to Columbus, Georgia in a couple of days. Not familiar with the ends and outs of the business or market yet.  Was a real estate sales agent in Michigan for about a year. I am looking to get started in the investment end now. It is time to do it and overcome my fears.  Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
