Been lurking for a while taking in a plethora of exciting information! Just wanted to thank Biggerpockets and all of the contributors for the wealth of knowledge I have taken in. It really has changed my life and how I view success. I'd like to start a "Journey" thread. Is there a proper section to do this sort of thing? I'd like to monitor and share my story and goals as it happens to the BiggerPockets community. I have started a plan of action in terms of marketing and developing leads and look to put it into place in the coming weeks.

@Account Closed Thank you for the welcome and the praise! Glad to hear BiggerPockets has had a great impact on your life. I have had some pretty life changing events in the past year, and while I wont go into much detail about that right now, BiggerPockets has really opened my eyes. The business and real estate books alone that I have read in the past few weeks are simply outstanding.

I would also like to thank Hal Elrod for the Miracle Morning, I have implemented this into my daily routine and feel outstanding.

Since joining BP, I have read Rich Dad Poor Dad, ordered Think and Grow Rich, and also How to Win Friends and Influence people. I am also in the process of reading J Scotts book on flipping houses and estimating rehab costs. I've listened to podcasts 1-24 so far (with a few random interesting ones thrown in). Not to mention still working 48 hours this week.

I have about 10 years of experience managing, communicating, and influencing people. Also some knowledge of webpage design and search engine optimization (one of my hobbies).

Given my current skill set and financial situation, I have decided to start small. My current plan is to put together a quick simple wordpress website to help me gain leads. Search engine optimization isn't something that can be done overnight, so this is more of a long term plan. I have about 1500$ to invest in mailers, bandit signs, and driving for dollars.

I have a few agents and a commercial investor in my network. I have also attempted to connect with another newbie investor who lives in my area on BP in hopes that we can push each other along and answer questions either one of us might not know the answer to.
