Hey everybody! My name is Steve and I am new to the Bigger Pockets community. I am starting a new realty business and seeking out my first investment property. Currently in the process of receiving financing from my local bank. My plan is to acquire single family and small multi-family properties and use the "buy-and-hold" strategy talked so much about on these forums. I am looking to get started locally in the Hudson Valley. If anyone else has experience investing in those markets, I'd love to hear from them. I have been pre-approved for a HELOC on my primary residence (going through the approval process). Did anybody finance their first property utilizing that method?
