Hello Folks,

Ali here from Houston, TX. 

I have been looking to into real estate investing for a while now, however due to other commitments, I have been holding off.

My long term goal is to have a portfolio of rental properties so I could earn a decent living off of them.

By profession I am a petroleum engineer and a technology developer.  Simply put, I design and implement technical solutions for oil and gas organizations.

Currently, I am employed by a major oil and gas company for about 15 years, however, not so certain about the longevity of my career in this field due to incredibly low oil prices. Hopefully, in the coming months, I would be able to take my first step towards achieving my goal.
