Buying my first large property

I'm in the process of buying an 82 unit property from my family. I currently own 2 four unit properties. I've worked for my family for years. I'm quitting my regular job to take over this property. It's mostly college students, but there are some professors and just regular people there. Any advice would be great! My grandfather was the previous owner but he passed away a year ago. So he handled the business side of things. Is there any new ideas or even old tips for someone taking on this responsibility?
