Hi, I live in the Cincinnati area and am starting to look for a building to buy. I think I would like to get a small multi-family that needs fixing up and live in one unit and rent the others out to pay the mortgage + a bit if possible. I have a degree in architecture and I'm self employed as a designer / woodworker / millworker / furniture maker. I've watched the city grow so much in the last few years and have built out several restaurants. I really like the city and would like to get something fairly urban. I don't know much about real estate but would like to think I could be uniquely suited to fixing up places and am looking for a good investment. I'm here to learn as much as possible before jumping in.
