Introduction
Hello all,
I accidentally started house hacking in June 2015. I didn't know what house hacking was at that point as my real estate experience was next to zero.
I randomly listened to my first BP podcast at the start of December and was hooked immediately. I ended up reaching out to the interviewee and we are now working together on my first deal. I purchased my first non primary home yesterday for cash and we will start rehabbing next week.
I'm originally from Scotland and moved to the states in 2001. I now live in North Houston Texas selling medical equipment for a living. My focus in REI will primarily be buy and hold SFR's. I'm positioning myself next week to start networking to meet other local REI's, contractors, HML's etc in the Conroe, Spring, Montgomery and The Woodlands area.
For the last month my head hasn't been out of BP forums, calculators, books and analyzing deals. I've learned more in this last month than I did the 4 years I was in college (who are we kidding it was 5 1/2yrs in college :)
I've heard multiple times already that 90% of people will never end up pulling the trigger and doing their first deal. That scares me more than doing a deal and learning though trial by fire. I'm prepared for the worst and intending on the best.
Looking forward to being apart of this community, any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!
