Newbie to both Saint Petersburg, Florida & Bigger Pockets

Hi all,

First off, can I say how glad I am to have found this website?! I've only been on for a few days, and only listened to a few podcasts so far - but, wow, what a great resource!

I'm a complete n00b to real estate investing. Recently got a job in marketing for a company in Florida (from NJ/NC), so I'm moving down to St. Petersburg /Tampa soon for that. Prices for houses where I'm going are so cheap (compared to NJ), I started thinking about buying to rent them out, and that's how I found this site. After spending some time here, I think that's still my goal (so far). I'm also very interested in learning about commercial real estate as well.

I look forward to learning a lot and meeting people here and maybe even some locals offline! :)
