San Antonio MBA in CRE

Greetings to all,

My name is Kevin and I am an MBA candidate at The University of Texas, San Antonio, concentrating in real estate investing and development. (one year to go)

Currently, I am the graduate research assistant for the chair of the Embrey Real Estate department at the College of Business. However, I want to find and meet a seasoned, 'freestyle' developer, to use as a mentor for supplementing my acedemia world experience. Books can't teach me everything!

My background is in residential project management, I have a Texas sales agent license(inactive) and am currently studying full time, the commercial side of real estate and proforma modeling.

For a final project this semester, I analyzed an investment deal in the CBD of San Antonio, writing a 16+ page analysis report using ARGUS software for the proforma and sensitivity analysis. This project now has my entrepreneurial gears moving quite a bit. So..

To my future mentor:

I want to learn how to not only find and fund good deals, but learn how to understand the capacity of each project and at the end of the day have the balls to pull the trigger and execute the good ones.

I hope to meet some great people. Thank you!
