Hi All,

My name is Dhiren Mehta and I am from Dallas, TX. I just joined this community two days ago with a great hope to learn from real investors about Real Estate Investing. I have no experience in this business yet. I got interested in this industry when I bought my first house and learned about intricacies of home buying process. Slowly I started reading about books and blog posts on Real Estate investing and got inspired to learn about this business in details. I want to learn about all systems and processes that goes in making this business a successful one. I am an engineer by profession and thus always look for methods and patterns on performing any task accurately as possible. Though I am in the phase of reading as much as I can, I realize the fact that no amount of reading can substitute real life field experience. I have very high hopes of learning a great deal from various discussions and podcast from this community.

I would really appreciate any tips for a newbie like me to get me started on a right foot in this business. Also, I would love to get in touch with any experienced Real Estate investors from Dallas, Fort Worth area and learn a thing or two from them.

I am mostly interested to learn about Wholesaling and Rehabbing the properties, how to market to find great properties, how to measure if it's a great property, how to build a great team of contractors, financiers and realtors.
