Hello,

I am an engineer in the Houston area that is learning about real estate investing.  I have always like the idea of investing and it was part of my 10 year plan out of college. Well the 10 years are almost up and I only own the home I live in. I am hear to make this idea a reality.

The beginning of this year my wife and I decided to pay off all our debt. We are doing the Dave Ramsey thing, you know beans and rice and rice and beans.  We will have paid of 40% by the end of the year and can finish the rest off next year.  I am interested in no money techniques so I don't have to wait to invest.  I also like the idea of wholesaling so we can get a boost income without the risk.  I am from Ohio with family in Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus. So buy and hold in Ohio is intriguing to me as well.

I have ordered Gallinelli's Cash Flow Book and Turner's No money down.  I would be happy to hear any tips, reading suggestions and/or connections in the Houston area.
