Roommate Rental problems

Hi my husband and I live in a two bedroom apartment for about 5yrs we are renting a room to get a lil help, we have a female and her daughter as a roomate. She has complained about her roof leak to me more than twice. Landlord takes a while to get things done and I have told her about it. My room and kitchen leaks too. Roomate has not followed some rental agreements as well. And as of my husband and I we constantly pay rent late every month but no later than 30 days. Should I suggest my roomate to move? Or am I responsible to make her happy? Can landord just ignore me for paying rent late? Will landlord ask me where's the rent so he can fix my roof?? Please help!! What can I do?
