New Member (From Montana) Any advice?!

Hello! I'm Jae. I'm a new member who is currently living in Montana, but originally from the DMV area.

I'm super excited I stubble across the BP podcast and this website! You guys are AMAZING, and I'm looking forward to learning.

Do you guys have any advice on where to actually start when it comes to investing? I feel like the first thing I need to do is run out and get a loan from a bank! But I'm not too sure if that's the right move for the type of investing Im interested in doing. Any advice??

How familiar are you with the different types of real estate investing strategies out there? (wholesaling, buy and hold, rehabs, lease/options, etc.) Is there one that interests you the most? Getting pre-qualified might not be a bad idea, although would you have money for a down payment if the right deal came along? If not, you would probably need to partner with someone who does or your pre-qualification might be pretty ineffective.

I've been a full-time real estate investor in Billings for about 5 years. I'm also a licensed realtor and can help you pinpoint a path in this area, if you're looking for something. But regardless of which path you choose, stop listening to the radio in your car and download every single BP podcast ever. It's one of the best educations available.
