New Member from Nottingham UK

Hi All!

My name is Harind and i'm a 26 year old from UK (Nottingham - East Midlands), currently working in the automotive industry as a project engineer. Always been interested in Real Estate and Investment in general and am now planning to act on it and start building my portfolio.

Fairly new at it all but consider myself fortunate to find Bigger Pockets Podcast and other Investment podcasts and books which I've been familiarising/educating myself with. My Aim so far is to use the next 6-12 months to build capital and work on a business plan (set a criteria, lender options, figures etc) which once complete, I would appreciate if members on this forum can scrutinize and offer any advice to make it stronger.

One of my main questions for my first post would be about the UK market. Are there many UK real estate investors on this forum? Are the posts/threads/advice on this forum regarding the US market transferable and comparable to the UK market? And last but not least, is there any starting advice you would have for someone starting out in the UK?

A little about my personal interests. I am a HUGE fan of music in general. Enjoy listening to many genre's and even play various instruments and like to make my own music in my little home studio (My bedroom!). Enjoy driving in my spare time and as I commute an hour to work and back every day, I make most of that time by listening to BP and other investment podcasts and audio books.

I've already learnt a lot and am hoping to keep learning and building knowledge as well as networking with like minded people.
