Hi all!

Elliott here - I'm a mathematician living in Silicon Valley who is obsessed with fixing property management.  I'm here to network with investors, agents, and anyone else who thinks traditional property management should be disrupted.

I've been a BP lurker for quite a while and can't wait to contribute myself.  I'm also looking forward to attending (and eventually hosting!) meetups throughout the Bay Area.

Cheers!

Elliott

I'm intrigued - how and what are you planning on fixing in property management?

Hi Gil, nice to meet you!

In short, we think property management has a few glaring issues:

1.) Traditional property managers are far too expensive relative to what they actually do.

2.) This is a broad generalization, but many property managers provide subpar service

3.) Property managers don't provide significant value-add back to owners, such as data and statistical analyses on how to increase the profitability of properties.

In our world, property managers should be able to answer questions like the following with significant statistical rigor:

- How would furnishing an apartment and using it for short-term rentals impact returns for a given unit?  What about upgrading appliances to stainless steel?  Or adding in-unit laundry?

- How would adding a new unit to your portfolio impact the efficiency rate of your current operations?

- When is it mathematically sound to hire a full-time maintenance person instead of contract out on a one-off basis?

We built our company to answer all these questions - and more.  Our version of a property manager looks a lot closer to a tech company than it does to a traditional property manager.  Check out my profile for a link to our website to see we're doing.

We've been working with institutional investors and private real estate funds to test our product.  We'll soon be opening our product up to individual owners once we're a bit more mature, but we'd love to meet forward-thinking owners who are interested in beta testing our service!
