New Investor in Kansas City area

Hi all,

I'm a new investor. I live in the city of Overland Park. I'm 27 years old and I work in IT as a Systems Engineer. I still owe 3k on my car so I'm going to pay that off before I begin investing as it is my only debt. I'm looking to buy and hold or potentially other opportunities. Interested in single family homes and also multi family. I'd like to own an apartment complex at some point, but obviously I don't have the capital for such an investment yet. I'd like to invest full time eventually. Planning on investing a very large amount of my income as my expenses are extremely low.

I'll probably be ready for my first major investment by spring. I thought I'd introduce myself to network and potentially find partners in the Kansas City area to work with. I'd like to invest close to home at least for the first few so I can get comfortable with the entire process.
