Newbie looking for info

Hello,

I'm from a suburb of Buffalo,NY and looking for more info on real estate investing and real estate in general. I am trying to decide if I should get my real estate license. My mother had a health crisis and I became involved in making decisions on her investment as a result. I work in a completely different profession that I love , but I would love to be able to possibly do both.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
