Investor from Seattle with properties in Western Pennsylvania

Hi All.

I would like to introduce myself as a buy and hold investor that has been investing (but mostly holding) for the last ten years. I got started with great enthusiasm 10 years ago buying what I planned to be all student rentals.

When the mortgage crisis hit, I lost all the book promised liquidity and learned a lot about maintaining the properties I have as I was locked out of the financing market. I haven't purchased another property in the last 6 years, but recently decided to emerge from hibernation and re-focus on my real estate goals.

I look forward to networking and learning from other investors in the BiggerPockets community, and attend meetups where I reside in Seattle as well as back home in Western PA.

I currently have six roofs (used to be 7 but had a total loss fire a couple years back), and plan to focus on:

-Improving the profitability of the properties I have

-Begin adding properties again

-Building towards my first commercial (5+ unit) purchase

-Focus on $10k per month in cashflow

-Refine my business structure

Brian
