My name is Johnathan Barksdale and I have been in the real estate business as a broker for over 30 years. Initially my strategy was buying and holding to rent numerous properties for retirement. During the recession, I was forced to liquidate my properties because my tenants could not pay rent and I developed a negative cash flow. I still believe that real estate is the best investment and am trying to restore my holdings. Before, it was easier to obtain funding for the purchase of properties but that has changed. It is now more difficult.
