Hello from a newbie

My name is Dave Malott from San Bernardino County California. I always wanted to try to make money in real estate but never thought it was possible for me. After finding BP I'm starting to feel that maybe I can do it. I've recently retired and after looking around the site for awhile and looking at the different niches in real estate, that for me flipping houses and using some of the proceeds to invest in buy and hold properties looks the most interesting.  Even though I currently live in Southern California, I may be moving to Memphis, TN in the next year so if anyone has info about that area I would appreciate any info. Thanks all, you've already been a big help to a hesitant first timer.
