Hello Everyone! My name is Don and I am a new member from Pittsburgh, PA. I am finally ready to make the plunge into Real Estate Investing. I have been putting it off for quite some time, but am now ready. I do not have much experience beyond purchasing my primary residence and helping my girlfriend rent/maintain her old house. I am looking for a local mentor that I can learn from as well as assist in any way I can.

Hey Don welcome.  I moved to Pittsburgh a couple of years ago and have recently started buying and rehabbing houses here to hold as rentals.  Its a great market to start in as its not too expensive and if you make a mistake it won't cost you a fortune!

Read everything you can on BP. Check your numbers and then just do it!  Taking action is the key and the first one is always hard as you second guess yourself.

Do you know what you want to achieve?  What type of property you are aiming to own and why? Any part of Pittsburgh you are targeting?

    Cheers

    Greg
