"I work too hard to be this poor!"

Hi everyone,
My name is Lyle and I live in the "Live Music Capital of the World," Austin, Texas! I read this on Linkedin once. I didn't say it, but I certain can appreciate the impactful meaning of it. You see, over the last few years, I've come to appreciate more and more what my time and energy in life are spent on. Several months ago, I was sitting in my favorite pub downtown watching the Denver Broncos on a Sunday afternoon, and somehow, the age-old question of, "Where do you want to be in 20 years?", popped into my head.

The short answer is, I want to retire in Costa Rica on the Pacific coast! As my mind began churning of how to get there, I realized for the first time ever that it wasn't going to happen on the path I'm on right now! In fact, I received a WHOPPING 2% raise from my employer in June. When I did the math of what that equates to, it amounts to ONLY HALF A PAYCHECK more, per year. I'm pretty good at stretching a dollar, but that is definitely not going to get me to Costa Rica.

As of this past weekend, I took a three-day real estate investing course where I learned acquisition strategies, closing techniques, building capital to fund deals, and TONS of marketing strategies and planning! I can safely say that I am comfortable in pursuing my first deal. Wanna know what kind of deal it is??   .....Ready to have your hair blown back?    .....It's a REFERRAL!!   (OOOOOOooooooo!!!!)  BUT IT's A START!!
