Hi Everyone - 

I've heard great things about this site, so I'm excited to join in.  My wife and I are looking to purchase our first residential investment property very soon (in the South Bat area of Los Angeles), so I look forward to learning a lot from all of you here.  And any tips for a newbie here would be greatly appreciated.
