New to RE Investing & BP

Hey all,

I'm new to RE investing and have been reading as many books & forums over the past couple months in order to learn as much as possible before jumping in and investing, myself.  I know that many on these forums advise not to get too bogged down with info and that since nobody will ever know all the information available, that it is important to make your first move.

I'm recently medically retired, but still actually pretty young and am looking to get involved in RE investing.  Based on my tax considerations, I am looking to get started some time this coming January.

Based on my initial investigation, I believe that would like to invest in Central &/or Eastern Washington state and, perhaps Northern California (since that is where I currently live - but prices are high).  I would like to do some combination of flipping and buy & hold strategies.

I look forward to learning more and interacting with others on the forum and attending any local or semi-local meet-ups.

Thanks, Steve
