Hello everyone!

I am a new college graduate from Arizona State University.  Born and raised in AZ, I completed my Masters in Chemical Engineering this past May, 2015.  After receiving my first job in the semiconductor industry and buying my first residence, I gained a taste of what real estate investing can do from being a live-in-landlord with two roomates.  After discovering the BP Podcast,  I am currently learning all that I can about buy and hold multifamily investing and am looking for established mentors in the area that I could build a beneficial relationship with.

Thanks for reading!

@Ken P. - Thank you for the welcome!  That sounds like a very smart and disciplined path to go down!  But ultimately we would all agree that the long term benefits will always outweigh the short term.  I will use that advice to save up for large down payments and ultimately a more conservative style of investing!

Something I always will struggle with is whether to max out my 401k every year over only putting in the minimum match from my company, and using the rest for investing and cash reserves.  I foresee, once I am more confident that real estate is right for me, and that I am personally experiencing higher returns than what my 401k is offering, I will make the switch.
