Newbie from Fredericksburg, VA - Howdy!

Howdy, all!  I'm brand new to BP, but excited for everything I've seen in the last 2 days!   Looks like a helpful resource, and I'm looking forward to networking and both giving and receiving help as I stretch my legs out on this platform...

I have been married to my beautiful bride for nearly 21 years, and we have 4 awesome kids... Boy, girl, boy, girl (oh boy), ages 25 to 13. Yes, there's also a dog... Well, kind of like a dog, only smaller... A "malti-poo" (or multi-poo, as I refer to him). I used to own a duplex several years ago, which was my entry into REI, and have always wanted to start flipping homes, but never took the first step. Now, 2 months unemployed with no activity on countless resumes, phone calls and emails, the timing seems right to begin.

I'm taking action to rehab/flip homes, as well as considering wholesaling (so we can eat in the short term)... I have already got quite a bit of "education" for this type of investing, but no practical experience, yet. My wife and I are driving to look at a property tomorrow that I figure to be around 68% ARV, so if it looks as promising in person as it does on paper, I'll probably start my first deal under contract within the week...
