Hey Y'all! New member here from Memphis, TN. Wanted to take a quick minute and introduce myself. I'm a full time firefighter/paramedic for the City of Memphis, married with 3 kids. I currently have no experience in REI but I am eager to get started. I unfortunately have procrastinated and made excuses of why I couldn't be a real estate investor for many, many years. That ends now!! I am interested in meeting investors in my area, hopefully flipping some properties, and long term, I would love to buy and hold some rental properties in my area as well. I currently envision my efforts will be concentrated in my general area: Memphis and Shelby County, Millington, Munford/Atoka and Tipton County, and possibly Fayette or Haywood Counties. The more I learn I'm sure I'll eventually find a niche market to concentrate in, but for now, I'm open to options. I have gotten some private money in place and look forward to making my first steps in investing. Ideally, I would love to meet a mentor and work for them, or intern I suppose, in exchange to get some real world experience. Thanks for having such an awesome community and site with amazing resources available. I look forward to meeting some of you! David Schlauch
