New Real Estate Investor - Houston, Tx

Hey!

So I am currently a senior in college and am pursuing a degree in finance. I have been exploring this website for about a couple of weeks. I have now finally decided that real estate investing is a business I want to be in. Otherwise, I do not know what else to do, plus I want to be my own boss. My overall goal is to have my own business. I want a real estate investment company were what we do is property management and be an active buy and seller in real estate. I was thinking of getting my real estate license after I graduate, but then I do not know where to take the next step. I have barely started looking for other companies that have the same interest but haven't found anything. It was only about an hour of looking. I would really like to meet up with some other people that have a nice rental portfolio and find someone who can mentor me. I am welcomed to hear from all real estate investor, especially if you are in Houston. Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks!
