Hi everyone. I'm a new member to BP and completely new to real estate investing. I am located in Bergen County and looking to purchase my first house the beginning of next year in my general area. I am looking for a 2 family, in which I will live in one unit and rent out the other to cut my mortgage down as low as possible. I am going to be using an FHA 203K loan (if that's how you say it, still learning the lingo) and am looking for something in the 200-250 price range, or lower if possible but that might be hard to find in north Jersey. My plan is to save up the money I will not be spending on rent anymore to hopefully buy a second duplex within the next year or two. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
