Investor/US Air Force Hawaii/Idaho
Hello fellow investors! I am an active duty Air Force member currently stationed in Hawaii. I got started into real estate investing by accident. I purchase my first primary residence in Idaho back in 2005 (80/20 interest only loans at 8% and 9% interest, YIKES!). When the market crashed I was upside down and couldn't refi, so I just plugged away at the principal and ended up turning it into a rental when I joined the AF. We eventually bought 3 more buy/hold SFHs back in Idaho, and recently bought a house in Hawaii to house hack and turn into a rental when we leave. I have listened to a few of the BP podcasts and found the info to be extremely useful, and am hoping this site can help do the same. Interested in growing my portfolio and eventually owning a large apartment complex after I retire from the USAF to supplement my retirement income. Specifically interested in acquiring additional properties in Idaho.
