Expat looking at real estate investing back home

Hi.

I live overseas and am looking to move back to the US and invest in real estate. I have been gone for 20 years. I have over 25 years experience in market analysis and research and have worked with universities all over the world (teaching real estate!). While the address listed is Wisconsin, that is where a friend lives. I have not decided where I would settle when coming back. Right now, I am doing research.....
