Hello All,

I am a newbie living in Medford OR, but may very soon be moving to Milwaukee WI. So I know a bit about Oregon in my 3 years here but I know nothing about Milwaukee and seek some insider knowledge. I don't want to waste too much time renting I would love to jump into a house hack scenario. I seek answers to questions like the best neighborhoods, negatives of older construction, utility cost averages, and some light financial advice. Currently my move will put me in the West Allis neighborhood temporarily if everything goes well with plans. I will be in Milwaukee area on Thursday the 24th for part of the day if anyone is willing to sacrifice some time for me. Here is some background:

My partner has a great work opportunity that will possibly be finalized this week in Milwaukee that's why I will be relocating. As for myself I have been in retail Management for 12+ years at many different retailers and locations. I will be leaving my place of employment and seeking a new job once in Milwaukee, and if all goes well jump into buying ASAP. Can I buy without a job with a decent down payment? If anyone has any connections for employment that would be great too :-)
