Hello!

My name is Laura.  I currently work in health care, but I'm interested in investing in real estate.  I found Bigger Pockets in my search to learn how to get started.  My goal is to provide income for retirement.

Laura,

Welcome to BP and hello from another Salem BP member. BP is a great resource for figuring out your path in real estate investing. There are books, of course the BP podcast and many other viable sources for building that base of learning that is critical to proceed within real estate. My best advice would be to meet with other like minded individuals and collaborate with ideas, thoughts on the direction of the market, or potentially working on an actual deal. I'm fairly new to BP myself and have found to my suprise there are way more REI people in Salem than I ever would have guessed. So, again just make yourself available by asking questions, making comments, or trying to find local people.

I am one of those local people and I'd be more than happy to chat.

Tommy
