Hi Bigger Pockets Network,

I am currently in my last year of college majoring in Accounting. I have had an internship and a job offer with a top ten national firm. My firm is big on industry specialization, and I was lucky enough to have our home office be involved heavily in Real Estate & Construction. I do not want to stay in Public Accounting or any type of Accounting for more than 5-10 years. I only want to be a part of the industry for as long as I have to, as my real interest is in Real Estate Investing. I am hoping that I will be transitioning into this role within 3 years of graduation. I mention my accounting job because of the unique opportunity I have to come in contact with high-profile clients in construction and real estate. Not only will my established and establishing connections help me in the field, but continuously working with both of these types of businesses will help me gain a better understanding of their specific financial statements and tax opportunities/implications. I've been a member of BiggerPockets for years, although I am just writing this introduction now. I hope to get out of BiggerPockets knowledge about real estate investing, do's & dont's, tips and maybe even some connections. I have listened to various podcasts this webiste provides, and it gets me excited to join this field. Although I do have some good advantages going into this (I believe), I know I have a ton of work to do and I am here to learn.
