Hey BP family,

My name is Ty Herring. I currently live in Rexburg, Idaho. I am married to my beautiful wife Camille and we have a little boy Camden who is a year old. I am going to school at the local university, soon to be graduating, studying business finance/entrepreneurship. I found bigger pockets from a friend and since then have been hooked! I listen to 2-3 Podcasts a day.

I first became interested in real estate from one of my uncles. I always wondered why he was able to travel all the time and be pretty well off. He's a mortgage underwriter in Virginia who is also a real estate investor. When he showed me what he was doing I thought that I would love to do this as another stream of income other than my primary job as a soon to be Financial Planner for Edward Jones.

As far as what I'd like to do in Real Estate, theres a couple things that interest me. Thinking long term I've thought about doing owner occupied financing and fix up the rental and live in one of the other units while I fix it up. I would transition that into a buy and hold by moving out of it and buying another, pretty much rinse and repeat every 1-2 years. I'd like to stay in multi families and eventually work my way up to Apartments.
