Hi,

I am an underwriter for a large national bank. Underwriting for a living, naturally the idea of investing in real estate appeals to me. Because I'm involved in the short sale side of the business, my options are somewhat limited my my employer, as I'm not allowed to buy any short sales or foreclosures that my company services/owns.

But I'm excited to learn what I can and give things a try in a while.

Jimmy

I've been an UW for 12 years at a large national bank too.  I do retail though.  Don't worry about being blacklisted from your company's short sales.  There's plenty of good deals out there and you've got an incredible head start with your knowledge of how that all works.

You'll do fine.

Welcome.
