Arkansas Investor Just Starting

Charlton Thiede
  • Judsonia, AR
Posted
Hello BP community. My name is Charlton. My wife, I and our newborn daughter live in central Arkansas where I work as a full time Mental Health Therapist. We are a one income family looking to increase our cash flow and I am eager to get started. My goal is to soak up as much information as possible in order to make confident and wise real estate investing decisions. My primary interest is income producing single family homes and finding motivated sellers to buy and resell properties.

@Stanley E.

Here you go: http://www.meetup.com/Central-Arkansas-Real-Estate...

Come and join us. September's meeting is tomorrow night (Thursday at 7pm). Details in the link.

@Charlton Thiede

Welcome to the community. Listen to the podcasts and read the articles on getting started. BP is great resource.

But first I strongly suggest you develop your goals and understand your reasons for getting into real estate. Real Estate is a conduit to help you achieve your goals. Lots of people say they are Real Estate Investors or think about becoming Real Estate Investors and never do it. I believe this is because they haven't established their personal goals. I know I was guilty of that.

Focus on WHY you want to become a real estate investor and write that answer down in your own hand writing and put it on your bathroom mirror. Then focus on the HOW. BP is great for the how and has snippets of philosophy on the why. But you'll find the best WHY from personal development or business philosophy from material from Jim Rohn or others.

Cheers!
