Howdy! I've recently decided to buy a house in the Jacksonville, NC area.  Long story short I'm sick of paying other peoples mortgage and looking for a place for my last one to two years in the area and then turn it into a rental on the backside.  I was wondering if anyone had any lessons learned, advice, recommendations, etc specific to the area. Also, very interested if anyone knows of any PMs in the area that I could approach who would be interested in giving me advice on what they would perceive as a good rental.

First time home buyer...just trying to learn as much as I can...so excuse the ignorance!
