My wife introduced me to Bigger Pockets about 10 months ago. Since then I have gone through stints of listening here and there to binge listening to 10-15 podcast in a row. It has been truly helpful to open new thoughts and paths for our business. I have been involved in Construction since I was a teenager (family business) and I have had rental property since 2002 (SFR).

In the past 5 years we have had the wonderful learning experience of actually developing multi-family properties instead of the rehabs we used to do. We built a 42 door duplex community in 2012 and flipped it in 2014 and from there we have just kept going. The learning curve never evens out it is just always present, and that is where bigger pockets has really made a difference. We are currently purchasing a 52 door under one roof complex with a great mix of short and long term leases. It is my first time buying a rental property of this size and my first time using private investors for a next to no money down purchase. Always looking for wisdom and ideas.

Thanks,

JNix
