Hello, my name is Darin, I recently returned to my birth place of Akron, Ohio after spending 20 years in the Houston, TX area. I am very interested in real estate investing in Houston, as well as, Northeast Ohio. Even though I am a newbie within the industry I am quickly developing a natural ability to research potential residential properties and providing a very detailed summary as it relates to the profit potential, risks and legal aspects of any property of interest. By no means do I came to be an expert or a know it all but my confidence is in the One who has provided my this awesome opportunity. I am currently working with an investment group in the Houston area but I also have interest and resources in North East Ohio area. Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and rehabbers (cash buyers). Find them through Google and meetup.com

To find out about an area go to IREM.org search for ARM certified property managers. Call 5 ask them what they see expenses running per category per unit. What do they see them selling for per unit, what is the market occupancy rate. What are the market rents? Ask them if they know anything coming up for sale. Great way to pick up some good info and possibly a deal.

You can also search NARPM.org for the RMP (Residential Management Professional) and MPM (Master Property Manager) certified.
