Newbie from Chippewa Falls/Eau Claire, WI Area
Hello! My name is Derrick Kunsman, and I am a home owner in the Eau Claire - Chippewa Falls, WI area. I was brought to Bigger Pockets by listening to the podcasts, and I am interested in investing in buy and hold single/small multi- family homes. I am currently reading and listening to everything I can. I could use some guidance in using a HELOC or line of credit as a down payment in my first deal. I look forward to any and all advice that can be given to a newbie, and I would also be interested in connecting with any other investors in the area. Thank you for your time!

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and rehabbers (cash buyers). Find them through Google and meetup.com

You might consider Niche or Specialized Housing like student housing. Rents can be 2-4 times more. Remember you don't have to own a property to control it.
