Hello everyone,
My name is Rory F. and I live in Laramie, WY, but am interested in investing in Casper, Cheyenne, Fort Collins and pretty much all of the surrounding areas. I am currently a finish carpenter, but I have also done framing and most things involved in home building. I have always had a passion for real estate.
I am new to investing. I have been reading books and searching all over to learn about real estate investing and market analysis and just can't get enough. All of my spare time has been spent learning as much as I can.
I am eager to purchase my first property. While I have a lot of construction experience, I am mainly interested in rentals and lease options, not flipping.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can. Hopefully some of you in person.

Welcome @Rory Fichtner, and @Kira Poulson. I left Laramie during the late 1980s. The rental market is amazing there. Unfortunately jobs for college graduates are very limited due to the university being there and churning out so many new graduates every year. I sold my trailer and land there after renting them out for a a few years. I think there is a lot of potential for folks in the building/finish work trade of housing. One of my biggest problems is finding skilled labor at reasonable prices. You can hire a lot of folks to do cleaning or painting, but not many can put in kitchen cabinets or windows/doors and get it right. You don't mind paying more if they can do the job quickly and get it done right. I would look into fix and flips if I were you to increase your income from what you are doing now. Good luck on your investing.
