Hi all,

My name is Andy Duvall. Recent graduate from Oregon State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. I've been working in Tualatin for over 2 years now as a Hardware engineering at Lam Research and will soon be starting a career with Daimler Trucks North America.

I have been saving a good chunk of my pay and been sheepishly investing in robo advisors and safe index funds. But recently I have been wanting to get more active with my investing and a friend turned me onto real estate investing after his 2 successful multifamily home purchases.

I joined Bigger Pocket so that I can primarily learn from the website and all the smart people that make up this community. I am interested, as of right now, in either single family or multifamily investing.

Currently my basic real estate investing goals are meager, supplement my current salary with passive income from rentals. A loose goal that I have right now is to match 50% of my salary with rental income within 5-10 years. I know I need to nail down a more specific goal. 

I am new to real estate investing, and investing in general. Right now I am trying to learn all that I can trough reading suggested investing books, Bigger Pockets podcasts, and the forum, but am completely open to new form of education to get me started on the right track.

I look forward to making some worthwhile connections on this site and can't wait to get started!
