Hi everyone,

I've been a lurking member for 1-2 months and now taking that 1st step in participating in BiggerPockets with this post. I am looking forward to attending some local meetups to meet others next! This board has surprised me with the wealth of FREE information that is available and how welcoming and mature the members are (I am a member of several other forums and the level of trolling is basically nonexistent here).

About me: I am a Bay-Area raised native having lived in San Jose most of my life - went to San Diego for college, lived in San Francisco for 3 years, and just recently purchased a townhouse in Emeryville through a private sale. It is very exciting to be a home owner and no longer have to pay thousands of dollars in rent every month!

My goals are similar to most on this board: short term goals are to learn as much as I can about REI along with the best practices of creating a wholesaling operation. The long term goals are to acquire enough multifamily properties to replace my day job with a career in real estate.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post and again, looking forward to this journey!

-Aaron
