New Investor Long-time Lurker

Hello Everyone,

I'm Shaka and I'm based out of Philadelphia, PA.  I've just completed the purchase of my first home/investment, a duplex in Landsdowne.  I got interested in real estate via family and my job - my sister is a successful investor in Texas and I work professionally as a surveyor/engineer.

I'm looking to build a portfolio that will replace my salary and allow me to leave my job.  I'd like to get that phase complete within five years.  From there, I plan on continued expansion that supports my retirement and my family overall.

The BP podcast heavily influenced me.  Podcast 8 on ethical landlording and Podcast 25 on first time buyers were two that I love.

I'm open for any sort of contact, whether it's educational opportunities or actual deals.

Cheers,

Shaka
