Just getting my feet wet

I'm working to build a legacy and knowing that real estate can potential make that happen gives me the drive I need to push through any obstacles.  As a member of the armed forces, I know there is an expiration date on my Air Force career, but when that time comes, I don't want "have to" jump right back into the work force.  I would prefer to have residual income to supplement my retirement and be able to pay back all the years my family sacrificed for me during my service - all I want is to be able to actually retire when my military career is done.
