Hello!

Pretty much a copy and paste from my profile, but I would like to introduce myself!

My name is Mark, I am 25 years old and extremely new to the idea of investing in real estate.  The idea came about when my parents suggested purchasing a two family when I am ready to buy a house so I would have an additional source of income.

I graduated from the University at Albany in May of 2014 with a Forensic Accounting MS Degree, and currently work in financial services (i.e. corporate financial statement audits and many other financial services).  As I just graduated and started working a year ago and have just begun experiencing the stranglehold of student loan payments, I still live with mom and dad...hopefully this will change shortly.

When my parents first suggested the idea of a two family I wasn't overly impressed with the thought, but as I have done some reading I have only gotten more and more excited about the idea of investing in rental properties.  I think if I could get started now at such a young age then it is possible for me to really go somewhere, and that is a huge motivation for me.  This even has me thinking "wow, maybe in 10 years I can quit my job and have a great income from real estate."

I want to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can, and I'm really looking forward to meeting and talking with other investors.  Please feel free to say hi!  I would love to talk!
