Hi all,

I've been lurking around the community for a long time and have always been impressed with what a great resource the Bigger Pockets Community has grown into. I am a voracious consumer of the podcasts these days. I was a commercial broker in North Carolina years ago, but after having recently finished an MS in Real Estate Finance at NYU, I am working for a value-add real estate private equity firm in NYC. We invest in multifamily (targeting 200+ unit property, but will look at a little smaller on an ad hoc basis). We've mostly invested in Texas, so far...but are targeting North Carolina and Florida, now. We also look at deals from other geographies, again on an ad hoc basis...especially if these deals are being brought by smart folks we know or have some existing relationships and the deals have some deep value add component. We are willing to co-invest/JV with local partners, when and if they can bring deals that fit our criteria. I always enjoy learning more about how other folks are better managing their properties, because that's also a big part of our business.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you better and, as always, getting smarter from our shared experiences!

Best,

Jacob
